Nose Shaping: Consultation and Procedure

During your pre-surgery consultation, Dr. Schlesinger will assess the areas of interest for your nose shaping. He will help you to determine if you really need surgery for your nose or if you will be better served by possibly having chin or cheek implants. The shape of your face, bone structure, and cartilage will determine the best course of action to be taken. If you are having breathing problems due to a deviated septum, the doctor will make a point to correct that during your nose shaping.

During the procedure, you will be given anesthesia. The doctor will then reshape, improve and beautify your nose using surgical techniques that he honed in 28 years of surgical experience. The outpatient procedure can take up to 3 hours, and you can likely return to work at the end of a week.

Nose Shaping: What to Expect

Nose shaping can make your nose appear more symmetrical and classicly beautiful. A reshaped nose can give your face a more balanced look. You should have realistic expectations of your procedure’s outcome. Following the surgery, you will have to wear a splint to help the healing prcess. After the splint is removed, and the swelling subsides, you will have a new shape to your nose that will be a permanent and welcome change.
